Windy Nook

Windy Nook is a residential area perched on Gateshead's southern hills, easily reached via the A1 at Junction 67 or the A167 from Newcastle. The elevated position that gives it the name also provides excellent views across the Tyne Valley. The Victorian terraced streets follow the hillside contours in distinctive stepped rows.
