Willowvale

Willowvale, also called Gatyana, lies in the Eastern Cape hills about 30 km from Idutywa, reached off the N2 via the R408. It's the go-to town for folks from Dutywa and Butterworth doing their weekly shop, while weekend trippers head further out to Kei Mouth, Qolora Mouth, and Morgan's Bay on the Wild Coast. Long-haul visitors from Gauteng and beyond usually stop over on the N2. EV drivers should charge up in Butterworth first, since chargers thin out fast past there. Willowvale is your last decent stop before the gravel roads drop down to Qolora Mouth's lagoon and its laid-back holiday cottages.
