Whitworth

Whitworth sits in the Pennine foothills between Rochdale and Bacup, accessible via the A671 or through Rochdale on the A664 from Manchester. The M62 junction 20 provides the main motorway connection, whilst the M66 offers an alternative southern approach. This former mill town serves as a gateway to the South Pennines and was the birthplace of the famous Whitworth rifle.
