Whitemyres lies in Aberdeenshire's farming country, roughly 40 kilometres northwest of Aberdeen via the A96 and local roads through Inverurie. The village sits amongst gentle hills dotted with ancient stone circles, including the well-preserved Bronze Age monument at nearby Loanhead of Daviot.
