Whalebone

Whalebone forms part of outer London's eastern suburbs, sitting between Chadwell Heath and Dagenham. The A13 provides quick access to central London and Canary Wharf, whilst the M25 lies eight miles northeast for longer journeys. Most traffic involves London commutes and trips to nearby Lakeside shopping centre. The area's unusual name comes from an 18th-century mansion that once displayed whale ribs as gateposts.
