Upper Coedcae

Upper Coedcae perches in the Welsh valleys near Blaenavon, accessible via the A4043 from Newport or through Pontypool on the A4042. The elevated position means frequent mist and rain, typical of this former mining region. Electric vehicle charging is available nearby, with over 90 fast chargers in the area. The settlement sits remarkably close to Big Pit National Coal Museum, where the original mining cage still takes visitors 90 metres underground.
