Upper Bayble

Upper Bayble lies 8km northeast of Stornoway on Lewis, reached via the A866 after the Ullapool ferry crossing. This small coastal crofting community sits with Bayble and Lower Bayble along the Minch, offering dramatic mainland views. The settlement features one of Lewis's oldest surviving blackhouses, a traditional stone dwelling that once housed families and livestock together under a thatched roof.
