Tycrwyn is a small Powys village reached via local roads from Llanfyllin, which connects to the A490 toward Welshpool. Most journeys are short local trips between farming communities, though the A5 provides longer connections via Welshpool. The village sits near the River Vyrnwy's headwaters, which flow toward the impressive Victorian Lake Vyrnwy reservoir.
