Tremadog is a Georgian planned village near Porthmadog, reached via the A487 coastal route or the scenic A498 from Snowdonia's interior. Built by William Madocks in the early 1800s, it sits 2km from Porthmadog's harbour and railway connections. The village serves as a gateway to Snowdonia National Park, with over 20 EV charging points supporting growing electric tourism. Tremadog remains one of Wales' finest examples of early 19th-century town planning, its central square and uniform Georgian buildings preserved exactly as originally designed.
