3About Traprain
Traprain lies in East Lothian's countryside, named after the ancient volcanic hill Traprain Law that looms overhead. Take the A1 east from Edinburgh for 30km, then head north through East Linton. The 221-metre Traprain Law was an Iron Age fort where archaeologists found one of Scotland's largest Roman silver hoards in 1919.
