About Toomyvara

Toomevara sits along the R445 in County Tipperary, about 15 kilometres from both Nenagh and Birr. It's a handy stop between these towns, easily reached from the M7 at Junction 23. From Dublin it's roughly 140 kilometres and takes about 90 minutes by car. The R445 also runs east toward Roscrea for alternative routes. The town is famous for hosting the annual Greyhound Derby at its local track, one of Ireland's top greyhound racing events that brings crowds from all over the country each summer.
