Throckley

England

Throckley lies on Newcastle's western fringe along the Tyne valley, a former pit village now serving as a residential gateway between the city and Northumberland countryside. The A695 provides the main route into Newcastle city centre, whilst the A69 connects westward to Hexham and Carlisle. With over 250 EV charging points across the Newcastle area and the airport 20km northeast, it's well-positioned for both local commutes and longer journeys. The 1876 railway viaduct carrying the Newcastle-Carlisle line remains the village's most striking landmark.
