Thirkleby

Thirkleby is a North Yorkshire village between Thirsk and the Dales, reached via the A19 north-south route or A168 from the A1(M) at Junction 49. Most visitors arrive on short hops from Thirsk, 6km away, or en route to Coxwold and Easingwold. The 12th-century church of St Mary houses remarkable medieval wall paintings uncovered in the 1960s.
