Strontian

Strontian nestled along Loch Sunart in the remote Sunart peninsula, reached via the winding A861 from Fort William (45 minutes) or Mallaig. The single-track roads through Highland scenery demand careful driving, whilst EV charging remains limited in this area. The village famously lent its name to the chemical element strontium, first discovered here in 1790.
