Stowford is a small North Devon village reached via the A39 Atlantic Highway, about 3km south of the settlement. Most visitors arrive from Barnstaple on the A39 eastbound, whilst the B3358 provides a scenic but narrow alternative through Exmoor's fringes. With over 30 public EV charging points nearby and Royal Marines Base Chivenor as a local landmark, the village is notable for St. John the Baptist church's exceptional 15th-century rood screen.
