St Woolos

Wales

St Woolos forms part of central Newport, easily reached via M4 junctions 24-26. The A4042 connects northward to the valleys whilst the A48 Southern Distributor provides an alternative route. Most traffic arrives from Cardiff (12 miles) or uses local roads like the A4051 from Caereon. The area enjoys Newport's excellent transport links and has abundant EV charging points. St Woolos Cathedral, one of Wales' smallest cathedrals, contains the tomb of Saint Gwynllyw.
