St. Dogmaels

St. Dogmaels lies at the mouth of the River Teifi, just off the A487 between Cardigan and Newport. The village marks the boundary between Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, with easy access from the A40 corridor. Most visitors arrive via Cardigan on the B4546, whilst the coastal A487 connects longer routes from Aberystwyth or Haverfordwest. The 12th-century abbey ruins feature a remarkably preserved Norman doorway with distinctive zigzag stonework.
