South Zeal is a small Dartmoor gateway village on the A30, twenty miles west of Exeter. The A386 from Okehampton provides northern access, whilst local roads connect surrounding villages like Sticklepath and Throwleigh. Around ten fast EV chargers serve the area. The village centres on the 16th-century Oxenham Arms, whose original granite coaching archway still frames the cobbled courtyard.
