Sinderhope
England
Sinderhope lies deep in Northumberland's Allen Valley, reached via the A686 from Hexham through increasingly remote moorland. This tiny settlement sits amongst the North Pennines' wildest country, connected by narrow roads to Allendale Town and neighbouring hamlets like Allenheads. The 1877 Methodist chapel, built from local sandstone for the area's lead miners, remains standing though long abandoned.
