Shawano, WI

Shawano is a small city in east-central Wisconsin that sits along the Wolf River, about 45 miles northwest of Green Bay. Highway 22 runs right through downtown and connects to Highway 29, the main east-west route across this part of the state. The area draws visitors to Shawano Lake and surrounding forests, especially during Wisconsin's snowy winters and warm summers. The downtown Mielke Theatre still operates with its original 1940s art deco interior.
