Saint Osyth

Saint Osyth lies on the Essex coast between Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea, accessible via the B1027 from the A133. Long-distance visitors use the A12 from London via the A120 and A133 through Colchester. The village features the impressive ruins of a 12th-century Augustinian priory, whose 15th-century gatehouse remains one of Essex's finest examples of medieval brickwork.
