Rosenallis is a small village perched in the Slieve Bloom Mountains of County Laois, popular with walkers and those after mountain views. The most direct route is the R440 from Mountmellick, about 15 kilometers away, though you can also approach from Dublin via the M7 to Junction 17 at Portarlington, then through Mountmellick. The village sits at the main trailhead for the Slieve Bloom Way, a 77-kilometer loop trail that circles the entire mountain range, making it one of Ireland's longest waymarked walking routes.
