3About Rainford
Rainford is a former mining village between St. Helens and Ormskirk, easily reached via the A570 from either direction. The M58 lies to the south, whilst Liverpool is about 20km away through Prescot on the A58. With over 500 fast EV chargers nearby and good motorway links via the M57 and M62, it's well-connected for both local trips to St. Helens and longer journeys across the Northwest. The village's 19th-century windmill on Mill Lane remains one of Merseyside's few intact tower mills.
