Visitors from Joburg (774 km) or Gqeberha (344 km) often pass through here, while locals make quick runs to Whittlesea, just 46 km down the R61. There's one fast EV charger in town. The real gem is the old town center, laid out in a hexagon shape with six roads fanning out, built way back during the Frontier Wars for defense.
