Most visitors approach via the A367 from Bath, turning off near Dunkerton for the final approach through quiet country lanes. The village sits in a sheltered valley position amongst traditional stone-built hamlets like Tunley and Farmborough. The 13th-century Church of St. Luke contains a remarkably preserved Norman doorway with intricate zigzag stonework.
