About Praa Sands

Praa Sands is a small Cornish coastal village built around one of the county's longest beaches. The A394 from Helston provides the main access, whilst the B3304 runs along the coast towards Penzance. Most visitors arrive via the A394 after leaving the A30 at Helston, though local traffic uses various minor roads from Germoe and Breage. The village sits near RNAS Culdrose helicopter base. At low tide, the rusted remains of the merchant ship *Wheal Prosper* emerge from the sand.
