About Ponterwyd

Ponterwyd is a small Cambrian Mountains village on the A44 between Aberystwyth and Rhayader. Most visitors pass through en route to Devil's Bridge or use it as a mountain crossing point. The George Borrow Hotel commemorates the Victorian writer who stayed here whilst researching his famous Welsh travel book.
