Payson is a Utah Valley city of 23,000 between Utah Lake and the Wasatch Mountains, about 50 miles south of Salt Lake City via I-15. Take Exit 250 or 254 off the interstate to reach downtown. The city serves as a bedroom community with easy access to Provo (15 miles north) and Spanish Fork (8 miles south). Payson celebrates its agricultural past each September with Golden Onion Days festival.
