Palmdale, CA

Palmdale is a high desert city about 60 miles north of LA, connected by Highway 14 through the San Gabriel Mountains. The Antelope Valley Freeway climb takes around 90 minutes from downtown. Highway 138 provides eastern access to I-15. The city sits at 2,600 feet with hot, dry summers and clear winter days. Palmdale Regional Airport also serves as USAF Plant 42, where you might catch experimental military aircraft during test flights.
