Old Brampton is a small Derbyshire town northwest of Chesterfield, reached via the A619 from Junction 29 of the M1. The B6050 offers a prettier route through villages, whilst the A61 and A38 connect longer distances. It's popular with Peak District visitors heading to Chatsworth or Bakewell, and locals making short trips to Chesterfield. The parish church features a remarkable 14th-century crooked spire that leans at an unusual angle.
