Odessa, TX

Odessa anchors West Texas oil country about 300 miles west of Dallas, connected by Interstate 20 to major cities in all directions. The twin city to Midland sits in flat, semi-arid ranch land dotted with pump jacks and mesquite. Highway 385 runs south to Big Bend while Highway 349 heads north. Most remarkably, this prairie town built a full-scale replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
