Northowram

Northowram perches on the hillsides between Halifax and Bradford, offering fine views across the Calder Valley. Reach it via the A58 from M62 Junction 26, or through the hill roads from Shelf and Hipperholme. The village retains its stone-built character from the textile era and provides easy access to both cities and the South Pennine moors. Shroggs Park cricket ground has hosted matches since 1887 on one of Yorkshire's most picturesque pitches.
