North Shian is a small coastal village in Argyll and Bute, about 15km northeast of Oban on the A828. Most visitors arrive via Oban, following the lochside road that offers stunning highland views. The settlement sits beside Loch Creran, one of Scotland's few sea lochs that completely empties at low tide, revealing an ancient stone causeway beneath the waters.
