Ninebanks

Ninebanks occupies a remote spot in Northumberland's East Allen Valley, reached via the scenic B6295 between Hexham and Alston. Most approach from the A69 at Haydon Bridge or the A66 at Alston, though the route from Hexham offers the finest moorland views. The village sits amongst nine distinctive spoil heaps from its lead mining past, which gave the settlement its distinctive name.
