New Holkham lies amongst North Norfolk's cluster of Burnham villages, accessed primarily via the A149 coast road linking Wells-next-the-Sea and the various Burnham settlements. Long-distance visitors typically approach through Norwich on the A1067 and A148, whilst the B1355 offers a quieter route from Fakenham. The village sits in the shadow of Holkham Hall's magnificent Palladian mansion, its golden brick facade a local landmark for nearly three centuries.
