Nether Compton

Nether Compton is a small Dorset village near the Somerset border, reached via local roads from the A30 at Sherborne or A37 at Yeovil. Set among rolling farmland with hedgerows and copses, it serves as a quiet route between the two market towns. The 13th-century church of St Nicholas houses a remarkable medieval doom painting above the chancel arch.
