Myddfai

Myddfai is a small Carmarthenshire village nestled between the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains, about 5km from Llandovery. Reach it via the A40 to Llandovery, then country lanes southward. The village is famous as the legendary home of the Physicians of Myddfai, a medieval dynasty of healers whose herbal knowledge was recorded in ancient Welsh texts.
