Musina is SA's northernmost town, sitting right on the N1 just before the Beitbridge border crossing into Zimbabwe, so it's the last decent stop for fuel and padkos if you're heading up north, or the first proper town if you're coming back. It's a long haul from most places, Joburg way is over 500 km, but locally it's a quick 12 km to the airport. Keep an eye out for the ancient baobab trees on the edge of town, some over a thousand years old.
