Muden is a small farming town in the Tugela Valley, KZN, reached via the R33 from Greytown, about 28 km away, with Weenen another 40 km further north. It's mostly a local run for farmers between Greytown, Kranskop, and Colenso, though some long-haul travellers pass through en route to the coast or Free State. The valley is hot and low-lying, perfect for the citrus orchards Muden is famous for, oranges and grapefruit line the R33 as it cuts through the valley floor.
