Mountain Cross

Mountain Cross lies in the Scottish Borders, 25km south of Edinburgh via the A701. This small settlement sits amongst rolling hills where old drovers' routes once converged. The A701 connects to Edinburgh and continues south to Moffat, whilst the A72 from Peebles offers a scenic alternative through the Tweed Valley. The stone cross marking the original crossroads still stands today.
