Motherwell

Motherwell lies 15 kilometres southeast of Glasgow in North Lanarkshire, easily reached via the M74 motorway at Junctions 5 or 6. The town sits strategically in Scotland's central belt with excellent transport links - the M8 motorway runs 8km north whilst local routes include the A721 from Hamilton. Motherwell station serves as a major rail interchange on the West Coast Main Line. The 1930s Art Deco water tower at Colville Park dominates the skyline, visible from the motorway.
