Moreton lies in Dorset's Frome Valley along the A352 between Dorchester and Wareham. The village sits on a key route to the Purbeck coast and Bovington Camp, with good connections to the A35 for Weymouth or Bournemouth. Set amongst chalk downs and river meadows, it's perhaps best known as the final resting place of Lawrence of Arabia, who's buried in the village churchyard under his adopted name T.E. Shaw.
