Moorreesburg is slap in the Swartland wheatbelt, just off the N7 heading up from Kaap toward Namibia, with the R45 and R46 linking you to farm towns like Piketberg and Malmesbury. Locals nip through to Koringberg or Malmesbury most days, while a run to Darling (73 km) makes for a lekker day trip. Long haul travelers pass through en route to Swellendap or up the West Coast. Keep an eye out for the massive grain silos, you'll spot them long before you hit the town itself.
