Moorpark, CA

Moorpark is a suburban city of 36,000 in eastern Ventura County, about 50 miles northwest of LA. Highway 118 provides the main east-west route through town, connecting to the San Fernando Valley, while Highway 23 runs north-south from Thousand Oaks. Most traffic comes from nearby Ventura County communities via short routes, though long-distance visitors typically use Highway 118 from the valley. The city is home to Moorpark College, which operates one of only two exotic animal training programs in the US, complete with elephants and tigers for Hollywood productions.
