Montgomery

Montgomery lies in mid-Wales's Severn Valley, about 30km southwest of Welshpool via the A483. This medieval market town sits among rolling hills near the English border, accessible from Shrewsbury in 45 minutes or Cardiff in 90 minutes. The A483 forms the main north-south route, with the A489 and B4385 providing alternative approaches. The town retains its original 13th-century street plan with distinctive burgage plots still visible today.
