Metfield is a Suffolk village near the Norfolk border, reached via the A143 and connecting country lanes. Local traffic includes short hops to neighbouring villages like Withersdale Street, whilst longer routes serve visitors from Norwich or Ipswich. The 14th-century church houses remarkable medieval wall paintings that survived the Reformation.
