Mayodan is a small North Carolina town about 30 miles north of Greensboro, accessible via Highway 220. The community of 2,400 sits along the Dan River in rolling Piedmont country, with most visitors arriving from Greensboro or Virginia. The concrete dam from the old Washington Mills textile operation still spans the river right through downtown.
