Mattersey

Mattersey is a small Nottinghamshire village near the Yorkshire border, reached via the A631 and local roads from Retford. The surrounding area has over 70 EV charging points for electric vehicles. The village sits in flat farming country by the River Idle and contains the atmospheric ruins of a 12th-century Gilbertine priory, one of the few surviving examples of this distinctly English monastic order.
