Maryhill, in northwest Glasgow, connects easily via Great Western Road (A82) to the city centre and northward routes to Loch Lomond. The M8 provides quick motorway access, whilst local roads serve Bearsden and Milngavie. This former shipbuilding district has evolved into a residential area with growing arts venues. The striking Victorian Maryhill Burgh Halls now hosts concerts and community events in its distinctive red sandstone building.
