About Marden

Marden lies 15km southeast of Maidstone on the A229, surrounded by Kent's hop gardens and orchards. The main route from London follows the M20 to Junction 8, then the A20 and A229 south. Local traffic uses the B2079 to reach nearby villages, whilst many residents drive short distances to catch London trains from the station. The town's remarkably wide high street was designed as a livestock market that operated until the 1960s.
